Characteristic Report: Visible Light Responsive Titanium Dioxide Photocatalytic Material
Research has been conducted on doping titanium oxide with various elements to enable light absorption in the visible light range.
This document is a report describing the characteristics of "visible light responsive titanium dioxide photocatalytic materials." It is well known that titanium dioxide is a highly effective photocatalyst; however, a challenge has been that its photocatalytic performance is only exhibited under ultraviolet light wavelengths of sunlight. To address this, research has been conducted to enable titanium dioxide to absorb light in the visible light range through doping with various elements. For example, Nb doping and nitrogen doping at oxygen sites have been notable achievements.
